Submission

Open submission period: January 1 – 31.

Throughout the month of January, LVNG accepts unsolicited submissions of around 5-10 pages of poetry (especially series, groups, and long poems that need more than a few pages to unfold), up to two pieces of prose, and small samples of visual art. We remain committed to providing ample space for the authors and artists we publish.

We obviously want to read your poems, stories, and essays—LVNG remains primarily a source of excellent poetry—but we also want to read your prophetic woodworking journals, your implausible test set ups, your astral-projection to-do lists, and DIY nautical charts. We’d really like to see reviews (for lack of a better term) by non-poets (by which we mean people who don’t make a habit of writing poetry reviews) of poetry and reviews by poets of, say, cellular aging papers. Of course, wiggle the variables however you like—just make sure to send us your results. Insane is OK; sloppy is not.
